Schizophrenia Treatment

Schizophrenia is a chronic, severe mental disorder that affects the way a person thinks, acts, expresses emotions, perceives reality, and relates to others. Schizophrenia may result in some combination of hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behavior that impairs daily functioning, and can be disabling.

Symptoms of schizophrenia usually start between ages 16 and 30. Men often develop symptoms at a younger age than women. Those symptoms are as follows -

  • Suspicious behaviour, person feels that someone is against him and/or his family.
  • Talking to self, laughing to self without reason
  • Hearing voices, feels their thoughts are controlled by others
  • Doesn’t take self-care
  • Becomes violent and aggressive.
